First Ameritas Offers Simplicity, Control With New Plan Designs

December 13, 2007//Lincoln, Neb., and Suffern, N.Y.//First Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. of New York has introduced a new line of dental plans called $ensible Choice.^SM  Features include:

•  benefits that are easy for members to understand and use.  Reimbursement is based on dollar amount of expense instead of on benefit type or procedure category.

•  flexible cost management for ASO and qualifying fully insured groups.  Employers can choose whether or not to include a specific set of tools – professional consultant claims review, alternate procedures, frequency limitations and age limits – that help keep plan costs predictable, rates stable.

•  the ability for employees or their dentists to submit claims to Ameritas Group for reimbursement.

•  the added cost-saving power of PPO.  First Ameritas plan members who see Participating Provider Organization dentists can choose from over 70,000 provider access points nationwide, which means they benefit from credentialed dentists and contracted prices for care. But they're always free to use non-network dentists and will still be eligible for benefits.

First Ameritas life Insurance Corp. of New York offers group dental and eye care products in New York.  In other states, products are available through Ameritas Group.  Ameritas Group President Ken VanCleave describes $ensible Choice as the company's most recent innovation in a series of common-sense plans designed to meet customers' needs.
